Our debut at the ABRE Brazilian Packaging Award, a competition dedicated entirely to packaging, began with so much emotion. After pouring great care into the redesign of Tartiner’s packaging line, we knew right away: this project belonged at ABRE. And our hearts skipped a beat when we saw it among the shortlisted entries.

What is the ABRE Award?
The ABRE Brazilian Packaging Award is a space that highlights trends, captures the movement of the industry, and recognizes companies and professionals who innovate, provoke, and inspire. Every year, packaging across different categories shows how design, functionality, purpose, and impact can come together in meaningful ways. Feels like a big responsibility, doesn’t it? Submitting a project to this award means standing not only beside the big names, but truly among the giants of the industry. Being part of ABRE is a chance to look at what we create, understand the market, and honor the work we put into every detail. It’s moving to take part in this shared record of creativity and innovation that fuels the entire packaging industry in Brazil.

The highest-rated packaging
“We are pleased to inform you that your packaging has advanced to the second stage of judging, in other words, it is part of the Shortlist of the 25th ABRE Brazilian Packaging Award! Congratulations!” That was the email that made our hearts race. In our very first participation, the single project we submitted ranked among the highest-rated packaging in the first round of judging, the ones that received the top scores. It’s safe to say that this message alone already filled us with joy and a deep sense of fulfillment.

Tartiner on the shortlist
Tartiner’s packaging competed in the Graphic Design category, in the Sweet Foods subcategory, and was selected as a finalist. The creative concept for this new packaging family highlights the purity of the ingredients, with each label featuring the silhouette of its main ingredient. Vibrant colors, inspired by a rainbow of flavors, reveal the deliciousness inside every jar. To reinforce the idea of purity, the packaging carries a seal stating “made with just 1 ingredient” and a note specifying each flavor, such as “Inside: Pistachio and nothing else!” We fell in love with the result and felt truly happy with this recognition from industry specialists. The same project brought even more excitement when it was also selected as a finalist for another major award, the 15th Brazilian Design Award.

Second stage and hearts full
After the rigorous selection that placed us on the shortlist, we reached the second stage of judging. At this stage, we sent samples of the packaging to the award team and we couldn’t have done it without the amazing support from the Tartiner team, special thanks to Joana and Esther! From there, it was all about hoping for the best. The result arrived: this time, the trophy didn’t come to us. But more important than that is looking back at the entire journey, the learning, the partnership with our clients, and the joy of seeing our work recognized among so many incredible projects. That is the feeling that truly remains and inspires us to keep creating!
