For many people, the dentist’s office is a place of fear and past trauma. Other common challenges include long waits in cold, impersonal spaces. On top of that, treatments often drag on with no clear end in sight. But this clinic was determined to be different. They needed a name to represent a place that felt warm, relaxed, punctual, where people could feel at home and trust their care.
The project begins with the name: “Premura,” an Italian word that means care, attention, consideration, kindness, concern. It also means urgency or quickness, a reminder that the treatment won’t be endless. Aligned, solid, trustworthy, and friendly, these qualities are all reflected in the logo, through the alignment, stroke thickness, and rounded edges of the letters. You’ll also find many smiles, mouths, and teeth subtly hidden within the shapes. The most obvious one appears in the curve of the letter “M,” right at the center. But these forms aren’t meant to jump out at first glance, because at Premura, teeth and technique come after the feeling of connection and care. The pursuit of a beautiful smile reflects not just a healthy mouth, but how well and happy someone is feeling. These are some of the feelings that bring Premura to life, a Beloved Brand of this dentistry clinic, created to inspire trust, care, and a warm, welcoming experience.
