Brazilian Buddhist practitioners face a major challenge: accessing reliable knowledge. In the rush of daily life, finding guidance and knowing which masters and traditions to follow becomes complex. After all, it is not always possible to attend in-person retreats or visit a practice center, for example. The publisher Lúcida Letra (translates literary to Lucid Letter) publishes topics such as meditation, Buddhist concepts, classics, and biographies. They needed a brand redesign with a unique personality and a broad repertoire to communicate effectively.

The brand’s creative concept begins in the same way as a book: using letters as raw material. For the symbol, the asterisk was the special character chosen. It transforms into an open book on the table that sheds light. After all, the final destination of this journey through knowledge is illumination, clarity, and the end of suffering. Other important elements for the visual identity were also created from characters such as the Buddha symbol, made from the letter B. Fragments of letters are also used as visual “paths” with infinite possibilities. Buddhism is colorful and the color palette will make these paths vibrant. These are some of the main characteristics of the Beloved Brand of Lúcida Letra.
