After participating in national awards like the Brasil Design Award and the Brazilian Design Biennial, the time has come to take a bigger leap. This year, our submission to the LADAWARDS, Latin American Design Awards brought the most exciting reply: the awaited shortlist email! What a joy to read it. We’re now joining professionals from across Latin America to celebrate what we do best, design made from the heart.
“Recognized for its focus on innovation, impact, and creativity, the LADAWARDS has become the most important design award in Latin America, highlighting the region’s talent and cultural diversity.”
LADAWARDS
What is the LADAWARDS?
LAD is the largest design award in Latin America. Its mission is to highlight projects that reflect the cultural richness and unique talent of Latin American creatives. In other words: to enter, you can live anywhere in the world and design for any country, what matters is being born in Latin America. Like us, proudly Brazilian. Every year, hundreds of projects are submitted, but only a few make it to the final round. In 2025, 462 finalists were selected by a jury of 44 specialists from different countries. We’re thrilled to be on that list!

A rebrand among the finalists
Being shortlisted at the LAD is a true gift and a huge recognition. The selected project is the new identity of Lúcida Letra, in the category Rebranding – Revitalization of an existing brand. You can view the full shortlist on the official LADAWARDS website here. Lúcida Letra (means “Lucid Letter” in Portuguese) is a publishing house that strengthens the Brazilian Buddhist community by carefully translating the Buddha’s teachings. Its mission is clear: to keep the Dharma alive, accessible, and trustworthy.

Lúcida Letra
The new visual identity needed to express that mission with more strength and life. So we began with what gives the publisher its name: the letters. They are the raw material of books and also visual paths that guide us toward sources of wisdom. We created the symbol using an eight-pointed asterisk, inspired by the Eight Auspicious Symbols of Buddhism. This is our starting point, evoking an illuminated open book, a visual invitation to walk the path of lucidity.
The new identity of Lúcida Letra is a finalist in the Rebranding category of LADAWARDS 2025. See the full project.
International Celebration
This is the first time one of our projects has been selected for an international award. We feel that this achievement isn’t just ours, it belongs to everyone who believes design can be a bridge between knowledge, practices, and deep transformation. Our heartfelt thanks to Lúcida Letra, for trusting our creative process and allowing us to walk this path so genuinely. And to LADAWARDS, for recognizing the sensitivity and strength of this brand. We continue this journey with full hearts, certainty that we’re on the right path, and butterflies in our stomachs while we wait for the winners to be announced in September 2025.
