The Revoança Collective offers online courses focused on delivering knowledge by feminist, anti-racist theorists, black and indigenous authors, who produce knowledge from the Global South. Therefore, the goal is to instigate, stimulate the pleasure of learning and develop permanent criticism, reflection, curiosity and imagination. In the words of Rubem Alves: “Flight cannot be taught. It can only be encouraged.” The challenge was to represent these concepts in a strong way, full of personality and poetry.
The idea is to portray the typical nature of the Brazilian Northeast and the strength of the feminine and knowledge. There was also the use of the environment, since it is inherent to the human being to be questioning and curious, characteristics that will be encouraged by the courses. Therefore, the brand has as its symbol a free bird, with wide open wings. The name “Revoança” is a beautiful Portuguese word that captures the essence of nature’s movements, such as the fluttering of leaves in the wind or the graceful dance of birds in the sky. The details of the tips of its wings form a leather hat that symbolizes the Brazilian’s northeastern lifestyle. Illustrations show the free and poetic nature together with symbolic elements. Cage, eye, head and bird contrast with the heliconia, cashew, bird of paradise and blooming mandacaru plants, all found in northeastern Brazil. These are some of the main characteristics of the Beloved Brand Revoança Collective.
